Black and White Dreams for Nick

by Nolee Feiock
(Rochester, NY)

I made this quilt for my grandson, Nick, who loves black and white. The backing is black and white chess squares with the playing pieces on them, a hobby Nick liked while I was making this quilt.

I have sewn for over 35 years but just began quilting in November of 2006. I saw a "Quilt in a Day" pattern and thought, "A day???? I can do that." Little did I know how many weeks it would take, but I was hooked and no one can stop me now.

I now make quilts for our Wounded Warriors with Quilts of Valor and also for Project Linus.
