Cars and Roads Quilt

Since making Sara a quilt, I had to make John and Maegan a quilt as well. This is John's. He loves the Cars movie and watches it every day. In fact he has already worn out one DVD and is on his second.

I found the Cars material, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to put it together. Then I came up with the idea of putting roads between my squares so John could play with his toy cars and trucks on it.

For the back, I found a panel (1 yd.) with the key characters from the movie. I edged it top and bottom with the same material as the larger squares to make it the full size of the quilt.
