Dog Ears

by Steve Coradini

I am new to quilting and have a lot to learn. On your show you mention saving the dog ears. What are they saved for? Thanking you in advance for your help.

ANSWER

You must be referring to Georgia Bonesteel. She's got a quilting show, and she saves her "dog ears" in a jar. I don't know her reasoning for this. But, I'd guess all those colorful dog ears look great sitting on her desk! What a great decorating idea!

For those who aren't familiar with this term: Dog ears or "tails" are the little triangles you trim from your quilt blocks.
