Fat Quarters Christmas Tree

by Lana
(Albia, IA USA)

I want to fold fat quarters into a Christmas tree shape. How would you do that? I saw it in a quilt shop, using 3 fat quarters for the top of the tree and another fat quarter for the trunk of the tree. Thanks for your help.

ANSWER

I tried to find a folded fat quarters Christmas tree pattern. But, the only thing that came close was a folded paper pattern. But you could just as easily use fabric. It's an amazingly gorgeous pattern. You can find it here:

The best idea would be to call or visit the quilt shop where you saw the fat quarters Christmas tree. Ask them if they have a pattern for it, or perhaps they offer a class on how to make it. That's what I would do if it was me.

When you locate the pattern, please write back and let us know where you found it. It sounds really beautiful! Have fun!
