Hexagonal Paper Piecing

by Sheila

Dear Gloria,

I am interested in making a quilt by cutting hexagonal shapes and piecing them together. I am not sure if it is called paper piecing.

Also I wondered if you had any patterns. I have not done this before and wondered if you have any lessons on how to do it. Thank you. Regards.

ANSWER

You have a lot of options when it comes to hexagonal paper pieceing. I've done a little research, and I've listed the results below. Some resources are free, others are not. But I'm sure you'll find exactly what you need, no matter which path you choose.
