My First Quilt 2010

by Miriam Wade
(Beaver Falls, Pa USA)

Well I never was interested in sewing too much, even though my Mother sewed. I learned to crochet from my Grandmother at 6 years of age.

I was watching a tv show on quilting and they were making the Dresden plate and it caught my interest. So off to the fabric store I went. I had no idea on how much to buy or what to buy. Got home and the next day I started. That was 2 years ago and I'm proud to say it is completed. So I'm shareing this photo.

Great Work!
by: Trish

You obviously have a talent for quilting. You did such a wonderful job on your first quilt. The colors, the cutting out and the stitching are far beyond that of a beginner. Your quilt is something you can be proud to pass on to your family, what a wonderful heirloom it will make.

I can't believe your very first quilt was a dresden plate, but you did a wonderful job! I love the colors. Are you going to continue quilting? You definitely should, you're a natural!

Miriam,

I love the colours you chose for this project, and you did an amazing job. That is a quilt that I have been told is a little more difficult, and to have completed it you should be very proud of your self. Keep up your good work you are an inspiration to many, myself included.
