Photos on Fabric

by Susan
(Fort Collins, CO)

Hello. I am looking for recommendations for the best product to make photos transfered on fabric colorfast. How do you keep them from fading after added and washed on a rag quilt?

ANSWER

Most printer fabric sheets are colorfast. In fact, I used
Milliken Printed Treasures Fabric
on one of my quilts. I washed it with Woolite three times on a gentle cycle. The colors were still as bright and beautiful as before I washed my quilt.

The only real difference was that the printer fabric became much softer. I really liked it! You might want to test it out for yourself. Have fun!
