Easy Quilt Square Patterns
| Quilt Square Patterns | |
Which quilt square patterns should a beginner use? That's easy. I always encourage my students to sew simple patterns.Obviously, I tell them that because it's easier for them to do. But, there's more to it than that. If you use a simple pattern you'll:
- See results of your efforts right away.
- Maintain an interest in your project.
- Gain a gigantic confidence boost.
- Finish your quilt sooner.
This advice is tried and true. But, many new quilters have chosen to ignore it. These quilters often underestimate the time and skill required to sew their quilts.I've seen them take on large, complicated designs. Halfway through, they give up in frustration, never to return to quilting again. This is unfortunate. For that reason, it's always best to start with a small project that contains simple quilt square patterns. Just take it slowly and carefully. Soon, you'll have enough skill and confidence to take on more completed projects. I built this site because I'm passionate about teaching beginners how to quilt. Recently, I created a really easy home study course called "Patchwork Quilting Made Easy!"In it, you'll learn how to sew a small sampler quilt. The sampler contains six easy quilt square patterns which you sew in order of increasing challenge. Once you've sewn your blocks, I'll teach you how to add sashing, borders and binding. I'll also show you how to quilt the layers and how to create a lovely quilt label. Students who completed my course were generous with their positive reviews. Some even sent me photos of their sampler quilts. Impressive, ha? I hope you'll heed my advice about choosing easy quilt square patterns. Enjoy!
