Quilting Basics

NEXT: Quilting Fabrics

In these quilting basics lessons, you’ll learn about sewing, cutting and pressing. I know, it seems like you’ll never get to the sewing part.

But it's important to learn the fundamentals first. You'll have less frustration if you learn to do things correctly BEFORE you start to sew.

Go ahead, grab a cup of coffee. That's what I do when I want to relax. Pretty soon, you'll have the quilting basics down, and you'll be humming along on your sewing machine.

Oh, and if you run across a word you don’t understand, check my quilting terms section. You can also email me with any questions. I'll do my best to set you on the right path. After all, your success is my success. Right?

Have fun learning your quilting basics; it will make things so much easier! Okay. Let's sew a quilt!
