Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's room is pink and she is the perfect little princess type at age 4 1/2. I had planned on making her a princess lap quilt using photos of her and all the princesses that we have taken throughout the years, but Sara loves Shamu and the Believe show.

We go to Sea World many times a year and it's always an inspiration, so much so Sara wants to be a whale trainer when she grows up. She asked for a Shamu quilt instead of princesses.

I started out with photos that I took and a couple from Sea World. That wasn't enough to fill this quilt, so I decided to trace some of the other photos I took right off my computer and made Shamu appliques.

I added a personal note and a scripture (Phil. 4:13) to complete the thought and encourage her to be what ever she wants to be when she grows up.
