Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's Shamu Quilt

Sara's room is pink and she is the perfect little princess type at age 4 1/2. I had planned on making her a princess lap quilt using photos of her and all the princesses that we have taken throughout the years, but Sara loves Shamu and the Believe show.

We go to Sea World many times a year and it's always an inspiration, so much so Sara wants to be a whale trainer when she grows up. She asked for a Shamu quilt instead of princesses.

I started out with photos that I took and a couple from Sea World. That wasn't enough to fill this quilt, so I decided to trace some of the other photos I took right off my computer and made Shamu appliques.

I added a personal note and a scripture (Phil. 4:13) to complete the thought and encourage her to be what ever she wants to be when she grows up.

This quilt is absolutely beautiful and knowing the person who made this from when we were little girls together this piece of love and expression does not suprise me at all. I would have expected her to make something so beautiful.

What an inspirational quilt. Your color choices and adding your own pictures in this lovely quilt add so much.

I loved your story about your grand daughter, she has a very caring granny, and the quilt will keep her inspired for many years to come. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
