Sewing Pre-Quilted Blocks

I was given 18" square blocks already outline quilted. They are all "sandwiched" with top, batting and bottoms. I would like to set them together with a solid color to form "window frames." But I don't know how.

Please help me for this is a lovely pattern and I would like to finish it for my daughter before my eyes get any older than they are. Thank you to all.

ANSWER

It sounds like you're referring to sashing strips that frame your blocks. Since your blocks are pre-quilted, you'll need to sew them differently than standard, pieced blocks. We call this the "quilt-as-you-go" technique.

I found a website that shows you how to sew sashing strips to pre-quilted blocks. You might also want to check out Amazon. They offer helpful quilt-as-you-go books.
