Was told to drop the feed dogs.
by: Anonymous

I did drop my feed dogs as I was advised to. Question: would that have caused the thread to form tightly around the bobin case inside the machine. This happened to my machine the first time I used my Walkin Foot, took it to the place I got it and they serviced it for me, but never realy told me how that might have happened.
Thank You
Jody

Using Walking Foot
by: Bea

Be sure to check your walking foot that you can use a zigzag stitch. My walking foot does not have a wide enough space to do a zigzag stitch. You will break your needles. I use it only to sew the bindings on my quilts.

Walking Foot

I am a quilter with a question. Can you loosen the tension on a walking foot when quilting? I like to use the zig-zag stitch because I like the look that it gives my quilts. And, I like to be different from the other quilters.

ANSWER

If you want loosen the tension on your walking foot, loosen the top tension on your sewing machine. Thanks for your question.
